Today I thought I would share with you my little secret weapon for the past couple of months ever since it landed on to my lap. I have not been able to put it down since, and carry it with me everywhere for those “just in case” moments. I really had to give it the full blown test drive, how could I not. It is the two-toned concealer by Laura Mercier.

To find out more about it, read on…

Laura Mercier says

New oil-free, long wear formula stays comfortable all day

New formula is infused with chamomile for calming and soothing benefits; suitable for all skin types, even sensitive skin

This also helps conceal redness, blemishes and age spots for a more even appearance

Due to the high level of pigment, very little product is required to achieve complete coverage

Tip on application

Using the Secret Camouflage Brush, blend the two concealer colours on the back of your hand .Using feather light strokes, conceal the areas of concern. Set with new Invisible Loose Setting Powder for even longer wear. Always apply after foundation.

I say

From what I remember, I did not like this concealer the first time I tried it several years ago. I remember it being cakey, hard to blend and did not cover well enough. So I thought, okay, let’s test drive this. Now that they have reformulated it, oh boy oh boy oh boy!! Have I not fallen in love with it!!!

It is everything I hope for in a concealer – now that’s a big deal to shout about!

It is so pigmented and full coverage – you do not need a lot with this, a little goes a long way – I shall show you what I use to pick up the product instead of digging my finger in it, although when I am out and about, I would use my finger and touch up.

It does cover blemishes, redness or any spots – I remember having this small little but dark acne scar on the side of my mouth, but no one had noticed and everyone said they could not see it! I used this!

It is compact, no fuss packaging and sturdy – it is travel friendly and does not shatter/spill in your bag

Being oil-free it stays awesome, stays put all day

Now this is where I think that ‘metal spatula’ is one of the best thing ever invented and so practical in getting product out of an item like this. I just use the flat shade and scrape a small amount, that is all I need. There is also less chance of wasting product as well. You can get metal spatula from any makeup/beauty supplier or even ebay.

The metal spatula makes swatching the cream easier as well. I literally just spread it gently over my hand like butter spread. Mmhmm…

So do I love it? YES! A straight up yes! I’ve come to conclusion that this has become one of those must haves product for me in my essentials.

Will I repurchase? YES! I don’t even need any other concealer, if I have to choose just one I would pick this over any others, but because I want to prolong the life of this concealer I tend to alternate my concealers. Smart, aye… hehehe
